The most delicious Christmas + New year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS!! I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas + New Year, regardless if you celebrated or not, with family/friends or just by yourself. If you all the very best for this new year to come!

This Christmas we had so much food that I almost had daily stomach aches due to all it. The food was just that good and I really enjoyed it.

For Christmas eve I made the traditional Norwegian Christmas crispy pork belly. I had it with a small side of mushroom stew and a potato gratin. The next day I ate a HUGE 700g salmon with a very small side of spaghetti. Then on what some of you would call “Boxing day”, Nathan and I had been invited to a family dinner together with the brother’s family at their dads place. They a nice cold started with smoked salmon and surumi (crab sticks), and then a nice assortment of various foods such as lam, chicken legs, veal, beans, mushrooms and croquettes. We also got some nice Christmas gifts. I got a gnome and Nathan got 2 boxes for sugar canes.

The day after the dinner we started on what would be our dinner for the next 4 days. The famous Dutch + Belgian Christmas meal: Gourmet. It where you buy a bunch of raw meats, veggies, bread, cheese etc… and then then you cook it all on the middle of the table on a small grill. Grocery stores usually sell like different sets with different meats during the holidays. We got one from out local store and one that we ordered from a butchery. All that food lasted us 4 whole days.

For new years we just decided to do a takeaway order, because we didn’t really have any proper meals left and I didn’t want to have to make something since I was streaming, so we just ordered some Indian foods. I had lamb tikka masala and Nathan tried their strongest dish called “Bangalore lams phall”. He said it was indeed really spicy. After we had eaten and when the clock was closing up to midnight. We went out on to the bridge that we always go to, to see some fireworks. There were a lot more than last year, which was nice. We stood there for about 10 min before heading in. Spent the rest of the night doing some more gaming and wishing all my friends a happy new year.

To round it all up. This holiday was filled with so much delicious foods and great moments with friends.

As some of you might know, I lost my dad at the beginning of the 2025 due to his terminal illnesses (Pulmonary fibrosis) and many of my friends has also lost someone close to them, so I felt quite early that this year were going to be a rough one. Within the past 6 months both my sister and my mum got into a car accident where they both got hit by cars, plus my cousin who just gave birth to her first daughter also had a lot of issues where the infant couldn’t breath properly due to an unknown infection. They are all doing alright and recovering, but yea. It has indeed been a rough one and I can’t wait to just move on and hope that this one will be better and filled with less sadness.

So I wanted to thank everyone who has read my various post throughout the year of 2025. Thanks to the ones that stopped by one or several of my streams. You all made my year so much better than I thought it would ever get. Cheers to you and to a better new year!!

Christmas Market 2025

This weekend Nathan and I went into town to check out the yearly Christmas market, and I streamed the experience for the first time!

We headed out around 5pm so that we wouldn’t be home too late. We traveled by bike as usual. The weather was kind of cold and sad, because it was slightly raining and somewhat windy. When we arrived in the city, we just parked them. There were a lot of people out that evening, which makes sense since it’s was the weekend right before Christmas. We visited the 3 Groenplaats and the Grotemarkt.

While walking we were moving from one spot to another, I briefly lost sight of Nathan and started panicking a bit. Thankfully we found each other pretty fast and we didn’t get separated again xD. The booths around the markets were mostly the same as every year. Lot of cloths, food and some variety booths here and there. Even though it wasn’t that much of variety, I still liked it a lot. The giant Christmas looked as beautiful as always. We were there for about 1.5h. We decided to stop by KFC and get a bucket + sides for our dinner. Since there were a lot of people out, we had to wait quite a bit. As to what we ended up buying. We got a huge box of those coconut cream balls, some truffle desserts and a Piña Colada flavored tea.

After we had gotten our food and the stuff, we headed home. The rest of the night we just relaxed with some games and ate some tasteful KFC chicken ^^

I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday regardless if you are celebrating or not. The year is almost over and I for one can’t wait for the new one to begin.

Just a quick trip to Norway

Last week I got back from my very short Norway trip. I was only gone for 3 days and those days went by so fast that I didn’t see the need write daily, but rather just sum it all up in one post.

So I travelled out on Sunday evening. Did the usual bus into the city and then train to the airport. The plane went as schedule and everything went smoothly. It was an evening plane from around 7-8pm. I arrived at my family home at around 10pm. Not much happened since it was late.

The first official day was spent on going for nice morning walk with my mother and a friend of hers. We didn’t walk up to “Grefsenkollen” this time, but different one. It doesn’t have a specific name, but it’s another one I used to do a lot growing up. It was nice 1h walk, then the rest of the afternoon was spent on completely defrosting and cleaning out the fridge. We moved all the food out, took out all the shelfs and cleaned the entire thing from top to bottom as well as putting a pot of boiling water in the freezer to remove all built up frost and ice. Evening was just spent with chilling and continue watching “Ginny and Georgia”.

On Tuesday we went for yet another walk, but not with the friend this time. We walked a bit longer than the previous day. When we were done with that, we went shopping at the nearby shopping mall. It was a late birthday present from my mum. We walked around in some clothing store and I eventually got myself 4 nice jumpers/long armed shirts. They looked really nice and I liked the fit of all of them. I also got a small wallet which I can use when I don’t want to drag my huge one around. My mother had an appointment at 5 pm, so we didn’t take too long. This evening was mostly used to repeat some stuff for my exam the next day and watch more Netflix.

My last day was the day of my Psychology exam. The day didn’t really go to much else. I met up at the mentioned place at 4:30. I registered at the front and then it was mostly a waiting game. I had to wait a bit over 1h before I could pick my assignment, and then I got 30 min of prep. I ended up getting the assignment to discuss “nature vs nurture”.

I was given a case about a pair of twins who went to the same school, were both well liked amongst their friends and extrovert, but one of them didn’t enjoy school and found it hard to go to class while the other one was doing great at school. Their parents divorced when they were 4 and that’s when the twins started living separate from each other, which was hard for the one that was also struggling at school.

I tried my best to answer as well as I could. I brought up a lot of different points and some theory, but I did have a hard time of remember the name of some specific theory or model. I felt bad about how I almost couldn’t answer any of their follow up questions. It was however given a word I had never seen in my 1 year of studying. However, I ended up getting a strong 3 out of 6. It’s not the best grade, but it does mean that I pass, which was the most important thing. After my exam my mother and I ordered sushi, finished the 1st season and then I just spent the entire night watching a different series until I had to leave for the airport again on Thursday morning.

On Thursday I spent the first half of the day just arriving back home to Belgium, and the second half I spent on attending Nathans concert. It was really fun. Despite being quite tired since I only was working on 2h of sleep, I tried my best to be energetic. I even jumped and danced during KARO’s performance. I did have a lot of fun and I also took a lot of photo’s which sadly didn’t turn out as good as usual since I was using my own camera, but they weren’t half bad either

The most delicious delicious birthday dinner!

Yesterday Nathan and I had made a dinner reservation at the “all you can eat” place called Hechi and even though it was a bit on the pricey side, the food there was delicious!!

Our reservation was for 6pm, so we just hopped on our bikes at about 5:45. The place wasn’t too far, but it was still quite windy outside, so my hands were already freezing even after just 10 min of being outside. We walked into the restaurant and immediately got greeted with food. We sat down at our table, took off our jackets and started walking around looking at all the food.

My first plate was a full meat platter. I had crispy duck, deep fried duck, beef and some potatoes, and it was the best tasting dish of the night. Next up, I tried the “self made” wok. I went with udon noodles, bean sprout, mushrooms and beef and I also picked dumpling as a side. At this point, I was slowly getting full, but not quite there yet. My 3rd plate was another meaty one and by the end of that plate I was feeling quite full. I had one last dessert plate before I was done for the night. I ended with 4 full portioned plates with food, which I would say I ate my food worth the price. Nathan also had 4 plates of food.

After that we headed home, laid on the bed for like 1h before just chilling with some League of legends for the rest of the night. It was an overall a really nice experience. I really hope we get to go there again, but I do hope they swap out the dishes every now and then to keep it somewhat fresh ^^

Returning to Made in Asia 2025

Last weekend Nathan and I decided to attend Made in Asia. It was a very last minute decision. We even bought the tickets just one day before the event started. The reason was because this year they were merging with two other conventions, so you would basically be able to attend 3 cons for the price of one. The interesting part is that “Made in Asia” was the first convention Nathan and I attended together.

We woke up quite early on Saturday since it sadly takes us 2h just to travel one way. I quickly washed my hair and got dressed. We decided to take a new rout in to Brussels. Usually we take the buss into the city and then the train from the central station, but this time we decided to take the train from where we live in to the city and then swap to another train again. While we were on the train and close to entering the city I heard that there were some Swedish people sitting behind us. I overheard them saying that they were going to Brussels Midi, which despite how it sounds is NOT the same as Brussels Central. Nathan and I had just figured this out earlier that day since we were also going off on that station. They sadly didn’t know, and I was too shy to speak up and help them even though I understood what they were saying. So I just watched them make their mistake and told Nathan about it afterwards, to which he said that I was should have helped them.

After that little moment we made it to Brussels Midi and headed towards the metro to take it up to the convention center. We arrived there at around 1:30 pm. I sadly missed the cosplay contest, but we would have had to wake up around at 9 am if I we were to have a chance to make it in time. It was all good though, we just started walking around looking at all the vendors and see what they were selling. Just like any convention it was a lot of the same with a few things sticking out, but for the most part its was T-shirts and other variety cloths, figurines, playing cards, swords and food. I did get to meet up with my streamer friend Fluff, because she had come there to help out her tattoo artist friend.

We ended up staying there until almost closing hour. It was around 6:30 pm when we decided to head home, and the event closed at 7. We did get some nice things though. I got two t-shirts, a card holder and some washi tape. Nathan got a key chain and a t-shirt. We also bought two bottles of liqueur where one was Tutti frutti and the second one was forest berries and vanilla.

After another 2h long travel to get home, we finally got there and just hung out with our friends for the rest of the night. I did have a really fun time. If it wasn’t for the fact that these things are so expensive and also quite far to travel, I would love to attend more of these kind of things.

Our next outing will be to do a late celebration of both of our birthdays. Where we will be going to an “all you can eat” fancy restaurant. I am looking forward to that ^^

Leaving Norway on a high note

Yesterday I arrived back home in Belgium fresh from my cousins lovely wedding from the day before. It was an early flight which also meant that I got all of yesterday to do a lot of things.

So let’s start with Saturday shall we. I woke up a bit early, because I had to go down to the shopping center to buy some last moment items including some stockings, a razor, some muesli and I also got a new adhesive strapless bra to try. After I got home I went straight into the shower and then got dressed, which took a while because it was my first time using these type of bra, so I constantly re applied them just to make sure they wouldn’t fall of during the day. I eventually got there.

We left the house at around 1pm, and then we drove to pick my sister and her partner outside of their place. The wedding took place in a nice small church called “Tanum church”. It was the same place as where we had my grandmother’s funeral back in June 2021. We met up with all the other guest and got prepared for the ceremony that started at 2:30pm. Right before it all started they realized that they had actually forgotten the rings, so that moment happend later xD. The bell rang and everyone stood up as my gorgeous looking cousin came walking down the ail. I could hear my mother’s sniffles behind me. The vows were really beautiful (hers a bit more than his) and there was some nice singing. Overall a really nice and short ceremony.

After everything was completed at the church such as mingle and a lots of photo taking, everyone got ready to head to the after party location. It was at this really nice house on top of a small hill with a great view over the docks and the fjord. The bride and groom arrived a bit later and finally got to exchange their rings under a nice white flower arch.

The rest of the night was quite straight forward. I mingled a lot with the guest, we had a great dinner buffet and there were a lot of great speeches during dinner, including my mother’s. Then we mingled some more while enjoying the desserts. They had some cakes, a slushy and soft serve machine. The slushy one was filled with rum and cola and which tasted really nice. At around 9pm the band started playing and we danced until we went home at around 11pm. I went straight to bed as I needed to be up at 6.30am the next day.

That brings us to yesterday! Not a lot happend in the morning. Just took the bus to the airport and went through all the normal stuff until I got onto the plane. We actually left on time, which doesn’t happen often. The trip was also shorter than usual by 30 min. I arrived in Belgium at around 10 am and got to my city around 12. Nathan was waiting for me at the train station and we gave each other a big hug and a small smooch. Then we headed to a smash burger place to have lunch. It was a bit of a walk, but the food was really good and the hiring posters were even better. We headed home quickly after, because Nathan still had band practice at 4pm. I might have fallen off the buss seat on the way home due to some sharp turns xD. Nathan tried to grab me, but he was too late and also too weak to prevent me from falling. I did catch myself my putting my one feet on the floor, but it was quite a funny moment. Especially for the woman sitting across from us.

The rest of the night was just spent on updating everything on my pc and do a small stream, since I missed doing that while I was away.

So this trip was overall a really nice one. Had a lot of fun with the bachelorette party and the wedding. Got to help my mother out with tidying the garage and my dads room and had some nice walks. I always enjoy traveling to Norway, but it does get a bit bored and I do end up missing home after a week, but I enjoyed this trip and next one will probably be around November, when I’m going back for exam.

Hope you all have enjoyed the post and the photo’s and I’ll see you guys in the next one ❤

Rounding up my vacation

Today is my last day here in Norway. It’s the day of my cousins wedding and then tomorrow morning I’ll be flying home. This has been a really nice trip. Being able to help out my mother with some of her chores has been a bit tiring, but I know she needed the extra hands. I am looking forward to come back home to my own place.

Nothing much has happened since the last post, which is why I haven’t written anything. I decided to just mention them all in one longer post, instead on multiple short ones, since a lot of days was just spent chilling or minor events.

My mother was gone last weekend on a girls trip to Sweden, so I got to have the house for myself. It was really nice to both get a little break from mum, but also be able to hang out with my friends that I usually hang out with. We played some games and I got to order kebab for dinner. I ordered for the usual place and to no surprise, it tasted delicious. My mother returned back on Monday and I made dinner for the both of us.

The following week, not much happened. We planted some new flowers on my fathers grave, and picked up my cousins wedding present on Tuesday. On Wednesday we sorted out all my dads cloths and put them in big bags to give to charity and then in the evening my sister and her boyfriend came over for dinner that I was cooking. On Thursday, my mother and I delivered my dads old cloths to Fretex (aka charity) and then we had a nice walk down to Grünerløkka and had a nice dinner. I had some spicy Won tons followed my Crazy Duck.

Yesterday however was a nice day. I made plans to hang out with some of my old friends that I had before moving to Belgium. After meeting my mum in the city to go shoe shopping for the wedding, I hopped on a tram and met my friends in a park close to where one of them lived. Since one of them was recovering from a concussion, we just decided to keep it chill. We tried a lot of different Asian snacks and talked about what has been going on in our life’s for the past years. It was really nice seeing them again and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I’m always a bit nervous when it comes to social gatherings due to my social anxiety, but this was nothing but nice.

Today is the big day so a lot of things will happen. We are scheduled to head out at around noon. I need to run some small errands and then it’s probably just going to go very fast with the wedding ceremony and the after party. I was tasked to take a lot of photos which I’m looking forward to.

So that was basically my last week quickly summed up. As I stated, it’s been a nice trip, but I’m looking forward to be going home. Be back with my boyfriend, my pc, my own bed and back to streaming again.

Back to Norway, in time for the party

Friday I travelled back home to Norway for 2 weeks, so that I can attend both my cousin’s bachelorette party and her wedding. I arrived quite late and just got a short sleep before it was up and get ready for an exciting weekend.

Friday was mostly spent on traveling, so not much to tell about that day. The only thing was that I arrived at the airport 1h earlier than I was planning to, but better too early rather than too late. Everything else went smoothly all the way home.

The big day was yesterday. I had to wake up at 7 am to shower and get ready for my mum to drive me and my sister to my cousin’s place. There we met up with all the other guest, and received a goodie bag with various items. We all got a nice T-shirt, a bracelet, a pink cowboy hat and some snacks and drinks.

After everyone had arrived it was off to Tønsberg and the house we had rented for the weekend. It took us about 1h to arrive to the house, and we had to leave as soon as we had unloaded the car. Our next stop was the trotting track where we had arranged it so that my cousin got try out trotting racing for herself (with supervision). We were a bit late, so the horse had been waiting for almost 30 min, but it went well and the bride to be enjoyed herself a lot. We stood on the side line with drinks and cheered. When they had ran a couple of rounds it was off and ready to head into the city for some lunch.

We ended up sitting in the park and had small games and quiz (which I did terrible on) before we ordered some pizza for lunch. We all shared stories and just got to know each other before heading on to the next activity.

Our next stop was Escape room. We got put into two teams of 6 and were given to different rooms. Our was about us being kidnapped on our way home from a night out. We were actually so bad that we needed several hints and even with those we barely made it out in time. We had like 1.5 minute left on the clock, but it was a lot of fun to try and fail solving all the puzzles. The other team did much better than us, but they apparently also had two members who were very excited and active.

For the rest of evening we just had dinner by the docks at a place called “Haveriet”, where I ordered a chicken tagliatelle with Smirnoff of Ice raspberry. My cousin even got a free beer from a guy at another table. We headed out to our last place for the evening afterwards. Where we played some shuffle board and got some more drinks.

My sister and I headed back to the house at 10pm already, because she had a headache and even though a part of me wanted to stay with the girls, I also wanted to make sure that my sister got home safely. We both went to bed when we got to the house. I did hear that the other girls were up until around 3 am just party and drinking.

Today we just woke up, had a small breakfast and then just prepared to leave. We discussed in the car about how the evening went, and we all agreed that even though it was a really fun day + night, the fact that one of the guest had her baby, dog and husband with her, which meant that she constantly needed to keep tabs on that. The fact that her behaviour made people a bit annoyed also kind of ruined the night. She and some of the guests just up and left earlier, without saying goodbye or cleaning up the room they had slept in. So we all came to the conclusion that she probably shouldn’t have joined or only joined for part of it and then gone home.

The bride to be did have a lot of fun, despite that little piece of drama.

After we got back to my cousins place, we just said goodbye to the remaining guest and my mum came and picked me up. The rest of the day we just went for a walk, changed some light bulbs, visited my dads grave and had a nice dinner. We were suppose to buy new ones, but forgot that things are closed on Sundays.

So that was the end of this weekend. Tomorrow we are planning on doing some tidying in the garage and then probably go for another walk. So far, I’m enjoying the trip.

A normal outing turned into a workout session

This Sunday my boyfriend and I went to Technopolis in Mechelen for the first time (at leas for me). What was going to be a nice relaxing outing ended up feeling like a full on work out session!

We woke up at around noon since we knew it would take us at leas 1.5h of travel time and they closed at 5pm. We rode our electric bikes into the city which we usually do. My bike only had 33% left so I was trying my best to save as much as I could and it thankfully lasted the entire way in. Then we took the train to Mechelen. The last part was a 30 min walk, which was kind of nice since it was REALLY quite there. It almost felt like walking in a ghost city.

We arrived at Technopolis at around 2 pm which was perfectly according to plan. After putting our things away, we started exploring the place. They had a lot of fun things to try out which I really enjoyed. Even though it was all tailored towards kids, I had such a fun blast just checking everything out. There was everything from learning how sound waves and electrical current work to more physical activates such as running and climbing.

One of the activates was to test your speed against various animals. You select your anime such as; human, turtle, cheeta etc. I picked a snake and got ready for my sprint. I ran so fast that I wasn’t able to stop at the finish line and almost ran into the wall. Since I had to break so much, my toes were hurting for the rest of that day.

My favorite thing was one where you would have to lead a ring through a pipe thing without hitting the walls. I was doing so well until I flopped and got like 3 hits in. I ended with 5 in total. Nathan managed to do it with only 2 hits. My other favorite was one where you stood in front of a green background and then had a very strong shin on you for a second and could see your shadow being cast upon the wall as an after image.

Here are some photos of the things we did:

We were there for about 2h before we decided that we had seen it all. It was a warm walk back since the sun was still quite high on the sky. When we arrived back to Antwerpen we went to eat some delicious ramen and I ended up with a nice Tonkotsu ramen with pork and karage (fried chicken bites). Then it was the biking back.

I told you that I had enough battery for getting into the city, BUT I didn’t have enough for the back home. So I had to ride most of the distance in 2nd gear on an electric bike, which if you don’t know is a lot heavier to do compared to a normal bike, because of the battery inside.

When I got home I felt like I had done a whole workout session with the biking, walking, sprinting + other physical stuff that I did at Techno. My entire body felt so exhausted, so It was really nice just relaxing for the rest of the evening. Despite ended up feeling really tired, I still had an amazing and fun day. It was really nice to go out and do something and all the activates were really fun.

A night with delicious foods and fun games.

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I headed out into town for the first time in a long time, but we ended up changing plans last minute.

Our evening plan was to try out a smash burger place because I have never had a proper smash burger before. After that, we would head to a place called “Gamestate,” which is like an arcade with a lot of machines that give you different amounts of tickets.

Since it was raining on and off all day yesterday, we decided to head out at 6 PM. We took our bikes and rode into town. We parked outside of the arcade and were about to walk toward the restaurant when we spotted a new place called “Gyojasang Korean Kitchen & Bar,” which we quickly figured out was owned by the same people from the Korean Clubhouse we visited last year. We started talking about going there instead and ended up swapping since it also looked interesting.

I ordered something called “Beef Steak Soulout,” and Nathan ordered some fried chicken. For drinks I had a Lychee Soda and he went with Yuzu Lemonade. The food and drinks were really delicious. I loved both the veggies and the meat in my dish, and I even got to have some of Nathan’s chicken since he wasn’t able to finish everything.

After dinner, we headed to the arcade. We filled our card with 60 credits and went around the different machines to see what we wanted to do. One of them was about pulling back a pin and releasing it to move a ball forward, and depending on where it landed, you got a certain amount of tickets. I did it, and I managed to get the big bonus, which was 300 tickets. Then I tried DDR for the first time and managed to injure myself by overstepping and stepping off the platform. I now have a small scratch on my foot. We also managed to get another 100 tickets for stacking 50 blocks on top of each other. We ended the night with a total of around 850 tickets. It was very satisfying to insert them into the machine. Then we headed home since it was past 9 PM already.

The rest of the evening was just spent playing some more REPO with friends. I had a really fun time. This was our second time at the arcade, but the first time we didn’t have a lot of credits to play around with. My favorite was the DDR and that I got the big 300 ticket bonus xD I definitely would love to go there again with perhaps a group of friends.
