Christmas celebration 2020 ʕ·ᴥ·ʔ

Christmas is over and all celebration is done. This year we decided to be only us 4 within the family. It was nice and calming for a change, but I hope next year we can be more people.

I started my Christmas off with some games and streaming until I suddenly had to go to the store because my mum couldn’t fine the red kale or the sausages we were going to have for dinner. I ran around in 2 degrees weather trying to reach the store before they closed. Luckily I did and we got what we needed. For the rest of that afternoon I just spent some times with friends while my mum was preparing dinner and laying the table. We had put up the tree the day before and put all our presents under it.

Me and my sister decorate the tree every year together.

For dinner we had our tradition rib steak with potato’s, red kale, brussels sprouts, sossiser (mini sausage) and meat caked. It was soo delicious and I ate until my stomach was soo full I couldn’t eat any more. I had mostly meat since I don’t like red kale or brussels sprouts.

Left side: Rib and potato’s, Right Side: Sossiser and meat cakes!

After dinner we took a little break to let the food settle. Me and my family talked about how this year has been with all the changes for the family and also in the world. When the time was right we prepared our self for the gifts. This year I got a warm onesie from cousin, some training gear from my parents with the caption “I hope you will join us for more walks” and some tea and a bottle of wine from my sister. If I were to pick one favourite it would be the onesie.

You can say I’m a special snowflake

All in all a great celebration with tasty food, wonderful presents and amazing people. I enjoyed myself and I feel soo lucky to have such an wonderful family. We even got some snow which was a Christmas miracle and made the Christmas vibe even more intense.

Winter wonderland

I hope you guys had a great holiday. No matter if you celebrate Christmas with presents or without, with or without friends and family. This year has been tough but we are closing in on a new year. New year new opportunities.
