Goodbye wisdom tooth and hello family party

These past weeks leading up to Christmas has been pretty hectic which is why I haven’t been able to post as much as I wanted to. There has been a lot to do at work and little time to play games and stream, but now that the holidays are kicking inn there will be more time to relax.

I pulled my wisdom tooth a couple of weeks ago. It wasn’t planned, but when I met up to my appointment they said that if I had experience any pain from them then they should be removed because they are crocked and pushes me again the neighbour teeth. I couldn’t feel anything during the operation, but afterwards my entire left side felt numb and I had also swollen up like crazy. It’s been 11 days I’m still a bit swollen. Needed to take a couple of days off work when it was at it’s worse. When your work is built around a lot of talking and smiling that becomes a bit dificult with one swollen cheek. I still get those icing in my teeth when I drink something or breath in through my mouth which is super annoying. I can’t wait until it all goes away!

We also had our family over for a little pre-Christmas celebration since we won’t be together on the 24th. It was my aunt and uncle, my two cousins and Nicolai who is the boyfriend to one of them. We got together had a lovely talk. In Norway it’s a tradition in some families to eat Rakfisk the day before Christmas.

Rakfisk is a Norwegian fish dish made from trout or char, salted and autolyzed for two to three months, or even up to a year. Rakfisk is then eaten without cooking and has a mild and slightly salty flavour and strong smell. Often served with aquavite

I ended up eating some fish, but most sausages the taste is a bit too strong for me. After we had all eaten decided to open each others present to make a fake Christmas. From my aunt and uncle I got a crime experience where we can go to a location to solve a crime or as the tickets mention

“Find my inner Sherlock Holmes”

From my first cousin I got a pair for training shoes which I can use at work which was perfect because me and my mum was just about to buy new ones, but now we don’t have to. I gave my aunt and uncle lids made of silicon so that they can stretch to almost any size bowl, and for my cousins I got them each a mini massage. Everyone seemed happy and the evening was a hug success in itself. Next big night will be the 24th. Can’t wait to eat myself fat on all the food and open presents. It’s been a hard year so I think it’s important to have it special during holidays no matter if you spend it alone, with family, friends or a special someone. It’s important to share those cheers with everyone.

I wish you all a merry Christmas. May it be a joyful celebration with the people you love. Remember that we got this year has been hard for everyone and it’s important to share the love.
